Welcome!! I'm in BR. PM me if you need any help. For any questions, there are a lot of old birds (hahahahaha ) on here that can answer ANYTHING! This is a great forum for Louisiana chicken lovers. We have heat, humidity, insect and predator issues unique to our climate. You can get all the answers you need here, especially as we move into summer which can be challenging to our chickens, much more than the cold. (Except this winter which required multiple trips to the chicken yard to break the ice in the water containers ). We'll introduce you to frozen man later. You'll also get to know shrugging girl. If you are in the city limits you are limited to 3 chickens. We can help you through that as well. Enough for now. Welcome! Show us your chicks and coop set up. I am in the city limits, too, and I assure you that there are predators.

Awesome to know! I only know one other person locally that has chickens. So good to have a forum to lean on!! Makes things so easy!! How many chickens to you have and what general area are you in?

I am near LSU, so is Angelici. We'll talk later about how many I have. Lol. Chicken math, as in multiplication, can overcome the rational mind. Lol
