"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I have neem oil. I can send you some concentrate pure neem to mix and try. I haven't used it on the animals, I have used it in the gardens against certain pests. It's stinky tho and it has a tendency to discolor leaves exposed to full Sun (feathers I dunno) I'd do quite a bit of research before spraying or dipping my chooks in it only because it has children caution statements on bottles I have, but those could be because its not diluted too... A heavily diluted spray may work really well. It usually needs reapplication after rains in the garden.

That would be lovely. Thank you so much. Let me know what shipping is.

I think a setup like this is a good idea for those of us planning on a couple of days of relaxation

Wow, talk about being prepared.

Morning La-yers, what's going on besides peach borers (not sure what those are since I don't have peach trees) and snake-killing? Yesterday evening I moved the two broodies out of isolation back to the main flock. I hope they don't go broody again! We still have a lot of water on the ground. I'll pick the first mess of snap beans this evening! Still waiting on cukes & tomatoes. That's about all going on here, just work and home and repeat.

My dear friend finally completed her book - she's been working on it for 9 years, a tribute to her father who was an Italian immigrant to this country. It's a good read!

Hey Terri, looked at the book and it looks VERY good. I got the sample so I can order it later come payday.

They gather round.

The bigger ones get the basket really swinging and the smaller ones grab what falls out.

We Were talking about orange yolks a while back. Some said it was from eating corn etc. I have orange yolks but I feed corn and soy free. I read a blog yesterday the orange yolks are higher in vitamin D and it makes the yolks deeper orange color. Pam

The lumpy area right against the trunk.....its that amber ooze with dirt stuck to it.

It easily lifted away. Looks like its mixed with sawdust.

There is more of this on the other side of the trunk.

I like to garden in a way that is low maintenance. So finding this (while not shocking) makes me seriously rethink having these trees. I like peaches and all. But if these bugs don't cooperate I will find something else that we like, that has less or less time consuming pests.

I hear bananas have a minimum of pests.......??????? I have a couple of gorgeous ones that I traded Angel for and they are doing just dandy. Sooo........depending on what happens they may get to trade with a peach.

You need to call your parish ag commisioner and get the info to trear for this,i remember when i was a kid/ believe it or not/ they used something common to treat for these bore worms and other fruit tre pests

I have more banana trees! Lol i have a pair that grew out of a fallen one that need relocated before they form a clump in a spot we don't want. Haven't had a pest problem with banana trees yet. Have had squash vine borer issues every year and might lose this crop too. Maybe only a green house veggie for me. :th evil pests. I found only one plant effected this year. Hopefully no more
