"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Y'all! I was searching around ravelry for a new crochet project and I was thinking I could make some cute little chickens or something. Then I found THIS when I searched chickens.

I mean, I'm totally laughing right now, but in winter I might end up making some just because I can!
This is what happens when two addictions collide. Crochet and chickens.

Hahaha Kimmy, this is the ballet outfit I made for Primrose. She wore it for pictures submitted for a contest and she won. The older ones on this thread experienced it with me, but thought you and the other newbies might enjoy seeing it. Lol

Tonight when I went to lock up the coops SnowWhite was sitting backwards on the nest. It was after 9:00 and she wSn't laying. I went to pet her and she ruffled all her feathers to stand up and made funny noises. I think I may have my first broody.

This is just like the sadeles I've seen to keep roosters from breaking feathers off the hens back. Pam

That came out way to nice for the chicken yard. Great paint job

many talents you have. you could sell it for a kids room. Speaking of swings I bought the chicken swing when my pet chicken had a moving sale.I haven't put it up yet. Yours is much nicer you should think about selling them. I'm going to a u-pic blueberry farm so I can can some my bushies don't produce enough for canning maybe next year. Pam
Oh I wish there was a reasonably priced you pick around here. The only one I have seen advertised was too far away anyway.

This one is in ms, blue terra or terra blue. I by all my bushes from them at the ag plant sale every march in my area. I talked to her a while this time and found out they are the only certified organic blue berry farm there. Its a little over an hours drive for me but I think its worth it.

I'd like to see a pic of her in it. I read an article about easter eggers an other chickens pulling their eartuft and muff feathers it must be a common thing. Then I thought about Sean and his three black amerconas we said he had easter eggers. I wonder if he had the real amerconas and were minus muffs and tuffs because another chicken pulled them out.

That's an interesting thought, Pam. They also pecked/ate Primrose's and Lizzy. The feathers were broken.

Next time he's on line I'll tell him what we have found out maybe they will grow back in. Prim too so that was the cause of her feather loss?

Black Stars were the ones doing it but since I've been giving them eggs everyday they seem to have stopped. No injuries or blood, just pecked up feathers. Prim is looking better.
