Y'all! I was searching around ravelry for a new crochet project and I was thinking I could make some cute little chickens or something. Then I found THIS when I searched chickens.

I mean, I'm totally laughing right now, but in winter I might end up making some just because I can!
This is what happens when two addictions collide. Crochet and chickens.

Bahaha Too cute. That's for -15 cold weather. Of course, I'm not saying anything about our little chihuahua-poodle diva's entire wardrobe including sweaters, dresses, coats, halloween costume. etc.

In Alabama , the person I bought the Legbars from had the trio for sale he mentioned them I hadn't heard of them so I did a little research and And thought oh yes I'll take them too. He got the by buying a mixed pure breed hatching eggs one of those that you don"t know what you get till they hatch. How lucky can you be. I feel lucky that I was able to get them along with the Legbars. I'll put you on the list. Lol! Pam

Maybe they needed extra protien to cope with the heat. I bought a supplement feed you mix with there feed I can't remember the name but its for high stress and all the newbes and chicks gobbled it up. tomorrw I'll give you the name. Its bugs greens and high protien grain. its ultra something.

Game bird brand is 26% and I just add a 4 c scoop to my mix when I'm making my fermented feed. It bumps it up some. Catfish feed is 32% and I bought it too for the same reason. Both have meat rather than vegetarian.
Somebody gave us some big squash and cucumbers. I peeled and cut up the edible parts of the squash along with a cucumber and onion.. Garlis S&P. Boiling it. What can I make out of it. Just boiled about 10 min. Any kind of casserole. A little white sauce and cheese. What other ideas, anyone? Anyone?

Don't forget to give them nutridrench for sheep liquid in their water for stress and heat dehydration.

Hey everyone...haven't been on in a while... had some stuff going on. Hope everyone is good

Hey, Sweetie, where ya been? We missed you. I'm fine. Playing with 11 12 day olds and 2 3 day olds. I left everybody in the storeroom last night. The two could not stay in the incubator anymore. I have them in a wire covered dish container with a lot of holes along with one of the small older ones. He's not much bigger. They are a small breed and the 2 new ones are going to grow fast.
Well, I finally told Aimee I'm getting more eggs today. She just wanted to know I have enough room for everybody. I told her I was selling the 13 egg layers at POL. She said how can you bond with them and then sell them. I didn't bond with them at all. Hatchery birds that scream and run when I'm around? I have no problem selling them all. It's going to be a different story with these new ones. They are so much more friendly and NOT scared.

Well, I guess we know what kind of mom SnowWhite would make. She sat all night on those eggs but when I threw out a little scratch this morning, she wS up and after the scratch. Lol. Good thing those eggs weren't counting on her.
