"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Got an email from BYC asking me to check out a sponser for a free bag of feed. It's BS and I hope BYC isn't in the practice of bunk surveys and spam :(
I tried to reply to the original email and it rejected it.

"That was pretty dirty. They responded with "sorry you don't qualify" screen shot included, myself and 2 others took the survey with same result after over 50 questions. Shame on them. Tell your sponsors they should disclose not everyone is eligible. I feel mislead by this email from a site (BYC) I trusted and I wasted my time after a 20 minute survey. Now they have my personal info to do as they please. This irks me, just letting someone know in case you didn't. These are shady online practices. "

I have a bag of feed for you no questions asked. Lol! I bought a bag of organic feed layer pellets. Mine have always ate whole grains thought I'd try the pellets well they won't eat it. It's only missing a few cups out the bag. Pam

Okay, so I got the curtains sewed, two sections with a separation between for them to get into the nesting shelves.  Not sure, may have to use a tie to tie back the parts by the sections where they would enter.  Looking at others who have used curtains and seems like what I may have to do.

Mosquitos are getting pretty darn bad. Im putting in a box fan, pointing toward the laying shelves.  This won't deter them from laying will it?
Okay, so, I can't buy anything.  BUT, I need more ideas on what to do for the mosquito problem. Here is what I have:

No standing water near, ACV kept in the chickens and dogs water bucket.
Box fan going in one corner but bldg is 10 wide X 12 long X 8 high
Fresh cut grass and dried leaves on coop floor, poo is a problem tho...
No way to air it out anymore, bldg made of tractor trailer doors, so no adjusting those. Entrance door is one of those, so it is large. Kept open.
Grass in yard is cut short, no grass just dirt 4 feet in front of bldg.
Nearby trees supply shade on 1/2 of the bldg.  No sunlight reaches inside it at all.

Okay, so ideas?  I have vinegar, jars of minced garlic, Sevin Dust and a spice rack well stocked.
Really need some help on this, googled the crap out of this but want to hear tried and true...

There are plants that mosquitoes hate that you can plant to keep them away. I bookmarked a page. I'll find it for you when I go back inside the house!

Today I put the roof on the run and brought the chickens outside to explore it. They all just hide under the coop the whole time. I also had to send my dog back into the house because she just kept barking and barking at them. I'm hoping they get brave and start to explore the grass soon, because I need to cook supper and I'm not ready to leave my little babies outside alone yet!

They'll be queens of the yard in no time! Give them a few days to adjust to the new chicken palace you made for them. They're probably just trying to sort out the rush of the great outdoors :)
