"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

That's my 2nd loss both the australorps something has a taste for them. Or they keep getting caught away from the flock. I've had dog attacks but we saved them. They weren't my dogs. As a group everyone's had one or two except you and primrose.
I'm glad it's not my rare birds, knock on wood. I've had my hens locked up to see if the other one is laying. And to keep the one that just started laying from mating with a rooster other than the legbar.
Thanks for the offer but I like the breed and will get chicks in spring it no one has juveniles. Pam
I was looking at chicks at Petrus for grandkids 4H today, I checked the listing for the Ameracaunas and it is spelled the right way, they still have some on hand, and others also, didn't notice any Australorps though, did see some production reds, RIRs, wyandots,RSLs and speckled sussex though
.

This is one of my 5 or 6 EES, she is so striking, such a beautiful coloring,

Hey everyone,

Just saying hi. I've been eavesdropping with nothing to post about. The chicken house is coming along well. I'm getting a little anxious about raising chicks. I still have to build a brooder and am running out of time. Hopefully I'll have the coop pred proof next week. Will still have the main run to build. I've been putting in long days doing this by myself. My order of buckeyes are scheduled to hatch on the 12th. Will post pics when I can.

Dang! Petrus has Wyandottes? I need to get a couple of those! I just love the silver lacing.
will try to check in more frequently, spent this day pulling out the summer garden -- Bella Rosa, Tomande & Sweet Chelsea tomatoes were still producing blooms altho not many tomatoes, & picked a 1/2 bag of purple pod pole beans. Now have to go catch up on laundry! it was a beautiful day to be outside!

The four alleged Rhode Island Whites. They don't have rose combs, so I'm not totally sure what they are. They need some serious attention.

These are my pullets. The look like doves and I love them. They aren't true lavender, but they're definitely not a true white. Orpingtons? They're as big as, or slightly bigger than, the RIWs.

I like Easter eggers the one I have left is my oldest hen. She has attacked by dogs and we caught it and saved her. Thanks so much for thinking of me. Their stock looks great. As for 4 H I have this Phenox pair they are show birds. I've been thinking of calling the 4-H to see if anyone wanted them. I read on their web site they need th raise birds from chicks. They are Lovely birds she is laying again. Let me know if you are interested. Mine are the rare red black breasted ones. He is a very sweet rooster. .

I use cardboard boxes and plastic totes for brooders. Works fine just change bedding. No building involved. Pam
