"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Also topdog, congrats on all the eggs. I got 4 for the longest time and now I'm up to 7 and that's not consistent. My chickens haven't been laying that long and they started real late but once they did they usually lay me an egg every day. I have four red sex-links that lay every day, rarely miss a day. They lay really pretty golden brown eggs.

Thanks, The front 2 rows are my 10 RSL eggs all the other eggs are DOM, BR/ mix; one gives me a dinosour egg about 1st a week

This is to the prayers out there: something appears to be wrong with BugglesMom new baby, they are on the way to the hospital. Please stop and pray with me that baby Williw will have a full and complete recovery and for peace for the family. Thanks.

I had 5 RIR chicks that turned out to be all roosters, constant maheym, they wont be cause any more problems ever, i also had 5 Black Australorp chicks that turned out to be roosters also, 3 went to a slumber party and never returned, the other 2 were hen killers, after giving them ample time to settle out, they were sent to the slumber party address also, now i just have 1 Barred Rock/ something that is a getle giant, you never see a feather out of place and the hens do a belly flop for him to mount them, now he 41 hens to his self, and he is like brooster the rooster, he mounts every one of them, especially just before dark, the hens line up by the door to get them some Bossman before retiring for the night. This is a pic of him and a few of his flock

I just went to their website to check them out. A lot of their teas include mystery ingredients like "natural flavor" or "natural essence." Those are things I stay away from because they can add anything they want into the tea as long as it tastes the way they want it to and they don't have to tell you what they added. A lot of the time, it is also to cover up the flavor of tea leaves that aren't as high quality and to trick the customer into thinking that they are getting a natural quality product.
This article has great information about it. http://foodbabe.com/2013/08/21/do-you-know-whats-really-in-your-tea/

They don't mention anything about being pesticide free (which is important with tea since it is not rinsed before it is packaged and pesticides would go directly into your cup), but they do brag about being organic all over the website so I don't think they use any pesticides.

I like the teas where the only ingredients are "green tea leaves" or "chamomile flowers." Fair trade, organic, pesticide free, non gmo, etc. :)

I'm with you I only eat certified organic. Their tea is certifier organic that means pesticide free and Chemical free and no GMO's. They are one of the best tea's I've had and I've had a lot. Pam

I'm waiting to hear back also. To get on the list for Spring. :) Don't take my spot. LOL :)

I looked at a lot of bators yesterday. For the price of the brinsea advance models you mentioned might as well kick it up a notch to the cabinets. Like Dicky's or a GQF.

I may hold off buying one for now. I learned I have access to a friend of a friend's cabinet incubator whom has good hatch rates and has been hatching a lot of chicks in the past year.

I'm a small operation I need automatic but not gigantic. Pam

I found a cabinet bator listed on craigs list. Drove to Monroe today to look at it. It was a older model GQF in rough shape. The guy wanted 300.00 for it. Way to much for the age and shape it was in. I don't know what did or didn't work on it. I found posts on the forum where these sold for 200.00 4-5 years ago, working and in better shape.
I think I'll hold off for now.
