Catch and release trials.Usually they will release a hog into the arena and time the dog to see how fast he catches the hog.Some of them will be bay/catch combos. Release the bay dogs then the catch.Different places do it differently.Some will have strictly 'timed' events...some will have performance judging.IE...if a bay dog actually keeps the hog bayed up or just runs around barking sometimes.Catch dogs...if they actually catch and hold or bite,let go,bite letgo...etc...Quickest 'release'best dog/handler team....

We're just getting started building coops and pens for our animals. You all are giving me good ideas.

I played basketball in high school and one of the worst butt-kickings we ever got was from Lake Arthur high school basketball team. They were some tough little girls! Incidently, our basketball team made it to the state semi-finals all three years. We were beat by a team from Jena all three years where girls grew to be VERY tall and had red hair. I don't know what they fed their girls?

Anyway, it says a lot for the Lake Arthur girl's team. Those girls were playing some ball! After my graduating class left high school, it was 20 years before another girls team made it to state competition or challenged our team records.

One poster said they bay , catch and release . A lot of businesses will have these 400lb concrete pigs in front of their places and dress them up . Usually they come up with a theme . I saw some pretty cool designs and of course the teenagers will tip them over on their sides , being that town , I would suspect some adults may be doing the pig tipping .

I am tellin ya that is one crooked little town !

Two days on vacation and I miss my chickens already. Its bad, I found a neighbor across the street from the people we are staying with that's had about ten bard rocks in his back yard so I walked over and enterduced myself to him and talked to him about his chickens. Lol you us louisiana boys no one are strangers.
