Your neighbor sounds like my kind of girl! Except mine go in a coop at night.

They go in a coop at night but free range all day. She has 30 birds. And coyotes are giving her trouble at night right now

There are many local breeders near you where you can get banams, you just need to look around a bit, and there are some coops for sale in your area, i will see if i can find the links for you and PM them to you

Thanks Wanted to design my own coop though. Its costing less for the size than buying one.

There are some really good breeders of quality BCM here in Louisiana. Check with the Black Copper Marans Fanciers page on facebook. Maybe one of them lives kind of close to you.

I finally unplugged the bator this morning. There was a definite smell coming from it. :/

Let me know if anyone is looking for Serama. I have some we hatched out from eggs we got here on byc and 2 other hens we got from a guy here in Louisiana. We really like them, but we won't be able show them for 4-H. We totally jumped the gun and got them before we did enough research. Bummer because they are so cute.

I just heard my Rhode Island Red eggs have been delivered!

The Blue Australorps are due Saturday. I'll set all of them Sunday & they will be due to hatch on Valentine's Day! which is on a Saturday, so I'll be home all weekend!
I could not have planned this any better!
