"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

And I am curious why anyone would think its a good idea to hatch out eggs from their chickens while they are in a withholding time from doing a worming treatment. If you can't eat the eggs, and sometimes they even look weird for the first day or so. But I've seen people advertising eggs "for hatching only, not eating" because their chickens have been wormed. That just doesn't make sense to me. Am I missing something???

As for your chick walking funny give it vitamins or ultra kibble. Sometimes it's last a nutrients in the chick or the parent birds.
As for food in your area look up azure standard they are a truck drop co-op they will tell you if you call them the closest drop in your area. They sell two of the best feeds and some other good ones. I like scratch n peck or big sky.
If the legbar is brown with chipmunk strips its a poullet.
For finishing a roo start 2 weeks before processing feed grains makes me like scratch n peck even more. And dairy like milk cream cheese etc.
that legbar roo can be used to make road bars and olive eggers. Pam

I had a deal made but haven't persued it further, he isn't ready for them so i think i will keep them, but seperate except just long enough to keep her fertile, any longer than that does her in for about 4 weeks, he blocks her from eating and torments her to no end, so he is with my main flock, he has 7 or 8 hens that follow him, but he gets a scolding from flock leader Bossman if he gets too happy and hits the wrong girl. We are going to hatch what eggs we have by Tuesday and maybe some other greens or blues while i am at work.

That is so odd usually the roo gives and calls them for food. He wasn't the Roo she liked. It's funny chickens have emotions I've learned they fall for the one they like no matter if its their breed. Are her eggs still green? I have another that laied green which I'm glad It's a pretty green. I have other roos she might like better. They are young and would take months to mature. She might do better with one that would grow up with her. Just a thought. Pam

Cody, there is a lady in your area that needs one now, she has 1 month old pul;let from 1 of my eggs and she wants a rooster, she contacted me about one, she is in Beinvile. https://www.facebook.com/brandi.michelle.9480
I spoke too soon Topdawg. I better keep it for now. I don't want Pam to get upset with me. I might have to make some Rhodebieles!

Pam, I'm looking into the Azure deal there's drops in Ruston. Thank you for your never-ending knowledge on the ultra kibble for the funny walking chick. I wished we lived close together I'd have to cook you a dairy fed roo. :) I'll get a close-up pic of the legbar for you.

Don't use me for an excuse. LMAO!! So you are thinking Rhodbars? Never herd of Rhoadebieles or are you thinking giant olive eggs? Once I sell to you it's yours to do as you please. I do enjoy keeping up with their progress and knowing who I sell to is happy with the outcome. Pam

That would be fun. I have a feeling I'll be eating the roo on my own. Lol!! Some of my new chicks are mainly meat birds even tho the lay a good amount of eggs. But it would be fun to have someone else cook. Pam
