"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I'm guessing only one chick survived? Pam
Sadly yes...not by any of her fault though. My other girls kept pushing her out her nest box and harassing her. On Sunday I found two of the eggs busted open with little baby chicks inside.

. I was so upset but I finally moved her to a separate coop and she is now hatching out the one chick that is left. ( it is pipping) I don't want just a single chick though so im trying to find some day olds to get her to hopefully adopt them.

Finished the coop for my chicks today, and eggs in the bator are on day 16. I've thrown out three total, one with a blood ring and two that were infertile. The rest look great, and air cells are nice and big. Here's some photos of the coop and my chicks, which are at five weeks old for the wyandottes, and a month and a half old for the bantams. I plan on bringing one of the wyandotte cockerels, two of the bantam cockerels, and a Black Copper Marans cockerel that belongs to my cousin to a sale this saturday. Anyways, here are all the photos:

I just saw those on Facebook! I love your little coop. Precious!

Today is Day 15 for me. I candled half of the eggs last night, because I was too tired to finish. I spent the evening in LC with my BFF. We made sushi! I'm improving. :D

Still looking good on the eggs. I'll have speckled sussex chicks next weekend! :weee

Sorry to hear that your local feed store might have some. Glad all the eggs were fertile I hope the one piping is a legbar hen. Pam
