"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I would be suprised if you lose any more. They are ruff and tumble not laied back like the biels. When they are off heat and outside they will calmdown some. They still don't like being handeled. They are heavy eaters and after a few weeks grow like weeds. Pam
Actually I lost a second also. Pretty sure it wasn't wasn't going to make it so I put it out of it's misery. It's toes were curling up and it couldn't or wouldn't try to walk. It would lay on it's side with it's eyes closed and was slowly fading away. I'm surprised at how fast they go. When they came out of the boxes they seemed ok.

This morning the rest are looking good though at least for now.

I ordered 12 dozen Littlepeddler Marans Mr. Skekel. Definitely the most I've paid for eggs, and very frustrating since I can't candle them

I'm sure some will hatch I know someone who bought their eggs they had a good hatch. Do you know for marens you dry hatch no water at all. I hatched Bev davis eggs they were shipped all but one hatched. Good luck. Pam

Did you get extra from both orders? Take a pic just in case. Green fire has a 3 day garentee. The other farm has arrive alive. I know one was Doa. Pam

She packed them beautifully, so if they don't hatch there's no one to blame but the post office and i. I did indeed hear that. I've had no water in the incubator until yesterday, then upped it to 60% for hatch.

Really? I'd been having issues with sticky chicks at hatch time before I upped humidity at hatch. Do you think the stickiness is caused by something else?

I think sticky chicks are from too high humidity. If it gets really high the chicks will drown. When I did my marens I didn't add any water as the breeder told me the humidity never went over 40% until they started to hatch. You need to take into account as they hatch your humidity will go up on it's own. Pam
