I think I got my first double yolker today

Congratulations! I'm still waiting on my first eggs. 14 weeks this coming Monday. Still a few weeks to go for me.

I'm at 18 weeks on my EEs, OEs, and sussex mixes with no end in sight.

I've got 6-7 pullets that hang out around that nest (on top of the brooder TD made) but so far none have settled in for a test run.

Someone has LICE!!! Guess what? All my chickens are going to be treated even if they swear they don't have them! I found one on my arm after carrying a hen this evening. Sooooo........ That's exciting.

Are they that big or have you enlarged the photo? Sorry you have to deal with them. How do you think they came in contact with them? Pam

This picture is taken through my daughter's microscope because they are very very small. Wild birds spread them. I haven't bought any new birds in ages. But we do have LOTS of songbird types around every single day. The cardinals love my cats dry food.

Egg laying has slowed right now anyway. I have had 3 go broody and some thinking about it. So I think I'll just deworm and everything.

This picture is taken through my daughter's microscope because they are very very small. Wild birds spread them. I haven't bought any new birds in ages. But we do have LOTS of songbird types around every single day. The cardinals love my cats dry food.

Have you giving them new bedding? I think when Craked nut had them she thought they were from new hay she put down. Pam

Pam I don't know why the link won't work for you. Seems like I remember you couldn't open it when I posted it before. If you hover your mouse over it and right click to open then I don't know. It works fine for me. The Biele cockerel looks to have good form.

So sorry your birds have lice Lemon that's not good. Hope you can get them under control. Will you use on DE them or something else?
