I'm looking for a black orpington rooster for my Lavender project

A "chicken friend" of mine in Livingston has some young ones she is growing out now. It will be a couple of months before they are ready, but she will have extras.

I had this same problem my place is not as big 5 acres and farmers and orange groves all around . I to carry a side arm but my husband said not to make a stink in the neighborhood as we are a small community so I went to harbor freaght and got a solar powered electric fence so far it's working out. I sat in my house by the window and watch them torture them selves for 2 hours the first day all with my scope and 17 right on them just in case.

I need to check out that fence, it might come in handy.
I'm not the only neighbor that has issues with her and/or her dogs, so there's not an issue with upsetting anyone else. Luckily she doesn't own the place, she's just a tenet until it sells, which we all pray is soon!!! If anyone's looking for some nice land in Zachary, I know where there's a piece for sale Even set up for chickens and other livestock.

On the other hand, I am still nursing the one Breese roo that survived. He is still pretty bad off, but hanging in there. He does not have any external injuries, but got beat pretty bad.

Isn't it exciting? I want a broody so bad. But my hens aren't taking the bait (or rather golfballs) seriously
