The wyandotte hen I got in the mail is laying every other day for me. The pullet in the coop still hasn't started yet. Have any of you built your own incubators? I'm looking at different threads on here now but would love to see photos of yall's. We want to make one for about a 100 egg capacity.
I'm sure we can make it happen. I know you have been wanting them. It would be fun just to visit and get to know you better. I lost one of my eating egg customers. The other wants chicks. So I needed a way to sell them. My friend hooked me up to sell them all. I bet I wind up coming more once word gets around. Pam
guess i cut my own throat? Really i feel like almost everybody should have at least two hens to provide for their own consumption... I often attempt to spread this madness

Awe! Your so kind! It would be great to do buisness while your up here, but I would love to just sit and get to know you better too! We should make a lunch out of it this wkend, i have lots of chicken and eggs to eat!![]()

Im glad you have a friend thats helping you sell em! Thats greats news! The conservation status on some of your birds is going to go up because of the hard work your putting into em, mark my words and watch the numbers on this year versus the last. You ma'am, are actually Making a difference in the possible extinction they would otherwise face

Has anyone here gotten any chicks from Atlas? Buddy of mine went by and got a few chicks recently and was thinking of doin so myself. Just wondering if it's a good idea.
Isn't Atlas a feed/seed/farm supply store like Tractor Supply? They are probably hatchery stock chicks. Good if you just want them for pets/eggs but if you want to breed/sell to standards would probably be better getting some from a reputable breeder. My first were from Evangeline Feed/Seed in Ville Platte. They hatched their own but it was still from chickens that were not bred to SOP. But very good for egg laying and as pets.Has anyone here gotten any chicks from Atlas? Buddy of mine went by and got a few chicks recently and was thinking of doin so myself. Camping did one, not sure how many eggs hers would hold tho. Pretty colors on your eggs.Eggs eggs eggs![]()
