Well everyone, I hope that everyone had a great day.

It seems lately, there is always something going on at house. Well, today is no different. I returned home from work and went inside to change into my work clothes and put on my steel toe boots. I went outside, let the animals out of the chicken yard into the human yard and took a seat. Well as I sat down in my chair under the shade tree, I looked over my left shoulder and I saw something that I had NEVER EVER seen before EVER in my chicken yard. I saw this...........................................

THIS IS NOT MY CHOCOLATE MUSCOVY DUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHERE DID IT COME FROM AND HOW DID HE GET IN MY YARD!!!!!!!!!?????????????? I walked down the road from house to house to see if anyone knew who owned ducks in an attempt to find his owner. No one knew anyone who has ducks besides me. One neighbor said her daughter told her that she saw a duck walking down the road and her mother told her that if must be my duck. The daugther said that it wasn't my duck because she knows what every single animal that I have looks like. The daughter told her mother that this duck was a different color and he had a longer "mohawk" than my ducks and she was ABSOLUTELY right. As far as I know, I don't know anyone within a mile radius who has ducks. I am confused to where he came from. I just posted on here about a week ago that I wanted different colored muscovies. I better be careful what I wish for. It's like he just fell from the sky.

That duck is awesome!

LaMike thanks for the pics pretty cool.
What kind if dog is that?

Got home today and one of my new game hens laid an egg. Good sign. I will give them a few days to adjust to start breeding though I think.

I hope one day I can train my lab not to mess with my birds so they can free range more. Maybe time and patience I don't know

Time, patience, and a good shock collar! I have a lab and a German Shepherd, neither of which do I trust to be alone with the birds. A retriever or other dog with a high prey drive can never be COMPLETELY trusted to be alone with them. JMO The shock collar has been a fantastic training tool if used properly. Check out Leerburg.com They have a ton of free information about training that can be geared to any dog regardless of breed.
