Hahah...im always doing it....lol...

I think about chickens a lot but definitely NOT what I want to get. I am NOT getting another animal. I think about new pens, more nesting boxes, building a barn, and processing roos and male ducks for the freezer. I'll leave the other chicken thinking to ya'll.

Can my dogs get worms from the chickens? As if I need another thing to worry about LOL. Its not very often, but they will eat the occasional chicken poop if they can get to it.

Alas I would be sure to worm EVERYTHING at your place. Dogs included

Whiskey Bay Sounds like you may need a restraining order pretty soon! That is harassment!

Cadjien_De_Louisiane The chicks I am getting will be all Golden Duckwings

Yep!
A dog that eats the feces of another animal (or even his own) can contract an illness or pick up worms and other bacterial stuff. He can even re-infect himself with worms, if he has been recently de-wormed and is shedding worms and eggs into his own feces. A dog that has eaten feces, and then has contact with humans, can transmit parasites and other stuff.

Absolutely they can get worms too! like Gracie said, worm EVERYTHING!

I am not looking to get any more breeds of chickens; I'm cutting down to just two breeds, Ameracaunas and Welsummers. I've dabbled in other breeds for several years now & I keep coming back to these two. And my peas!

Just wanted to share a picture of my city chickens with everyone! The main flock is at my stepdad's house until we get the property together. My neighbors live about 20 ft. from the coop and they never knew we had them

I get an egg a day from my 3 sex links. The EE is a bit of a freeloader though, she only gives us one every other day. I think she is part hog! She has got to be the fattest little EE I have ever seen. From left to right we have Solo, Roux, Ethel, and Lucy.

And here is the spot I was telling y'all about. I'm pretty sure she is getting plucked by one of the others when they go to roost. I just don't know how I make them stop!
