I would agree with everyone who said to go ahead and continue your de-worm treatment plan.

As far as dusting wtih Sevin Dust (food grade), please make sure that you remove all bedding, thrown away the bedding and clean your nesting boxes. You will also need to dust the roosts. Make sure you focus under the wings and vent area because mites tend to hide in these areas. If it were me, I would probably dust the chickens again in a week or 2.

The Ivermectin should start working right away. Usually within a couple of hrs, they should start falling off. If the infestation is severe, then it may take longer. But in 2 - 3 days, they should be ok.

As far as the de-wormer, just follow the intructions.

It's very confusing. I was confused for a long time as well. I use to use Wazine (1 ounce Wazine per one gallon of water) but because there is an egg withdrawal period (2 weeks) and since I sell eggs, I am not able to use Wazine. I wouldn't be able to sell eggs to my customers. So, I use Ivermectin.

So there is no withdrawl with it?? Is that the kind you have to feed to them??

No withdrawal method at all. You place drops on their skin.

The other reason that I don't like the Wazine because I'm paranoid that the chickens won't drink enough of the Wazine that is placed in the water to intake what they need.

Well guys, hope everyone had a great day and a good night.I'm not feelinmg to well,so I'm going to lay down early. Night guys....

P>S> Only picked up 2 eggs today out of the 26 layers and none from the 2 guineas...

I ran outside right quick to pick eggs before it got too dark. This little bitty cutie (Bourbon Red Turkey poult) was peaking out at me in the nesting box. I brought both of them in and had to set up back room brooder for the baby and mama. They are resting peacefully as we speak.

It's been a long day for me as well. I pretty much rested in bed and watched Lifetime and took about 50 naps. I needed the rest. I am off to taking a shower and jumping in the bed.

I hope that everyone had a great Saturday. I think tomorrow will be a day resting in bed as well. I'm just drained.

Good night everyone !!!!!
