I love the BLRW.I hatched a bunch out from some shipped eggs.Actually had a really good hatch too.Ended up with like 28 out of 30 eggs!!!! Just put them out on the ground in one of my recyled material pens...I'll have to get some updated pics. Not done with the rood, but still usable with some tarps thrown over for now.Has the lattice around the sides and back and across the front except the doors. Haha right now the doors are bright pink from the 'purple' studs I had in the trailer for use.Put my Silkies and Showgirls out in one.My BLRW and BBS Orp babies in another, My older BBS Orps and young Guineas in one.Got one more left open.Ultimate plans are to have a seperate pen for B/B/S, Buff, Lavender, BLRW, SLW, Barred rocks Silkies/Showgirls, and my Golden cuckoos if I decide to keep them.I'm going to make some small tractors for the few bantams I have.During the 'off'season, everyone roams together. Then duing breeding season they will get seperated.Right now everyone except the Buffs and SLW are young,so they are all together...lol...I am having to keep 2 of my showgirl roosters in a seperate pen because they are overwhelming the girls not on nests right now. I just can't wait to have my pens done and my chicken yard finished. REALLY can't wait for the grass to finish growing in. I would have never imagined it would take so long for grass to grow!!! Ever notice how funky things look before your grass grows in?SPots of grass in a sea of sand and dirt.....
