"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Oh yes!! LOVE LOVE LOVE that store!! You know it might have alot to do with the fact that the lady who orders and deal with the chicks Debbie (I think that's her name) knows her stuff!! Man, her & I had the longest conversation when the Bluebonnet PO keep a whole box of ducks for 2 days just sitting there!! Her and the lady on the phone got into it!!! That was like the second time. They got one box in and the entire box of chick were dead because of the post office!! She said I'm seriously thinking about trying to charges them with cruelty to animals!!! Lady at the PO told her that they DON'T have to call them and let them know when the boxes show up!! That's one reason why I'm scared to death to order any online!! They had 4 HUGE troughs set up and almost completly sold out over the weekend!!

Well I went to get my 5 orphs today and left there with them 2 red sex links and 2 black Australorps.

I've really lost my mind!!

Those baby ducks were in extremely bad shape and the PO should definitely be charged with cruelty to animals. Their eyes were all sunken and such a sad sight. I can't remember if I was there Fri or Sat and I saw them and they told us what happened. The workers were clearly upset about the whole situation. Shame on USPS. If that were someone else other than USPS you had better believe there would be charges pressed against them.

Did they say if they were going to get another shipment of Bantys in?

Your right about that!! She didn't say. But I tell you what all those ducks bounced right back. She went and picked them up Friday morning and refused to even sell any until they were better. She told me "I have them in triage right now!" By Sunday they were all sold! She said Saturday was so crazy, people were taking all they tops off the brooders messing with them picking up the waterers & feeder and putting them down on top of the babies. She said they lost quite a few that day. She said one guy walked to the front of the store with his arms full of bantys. She was just so aggravated. She did say something about ordering more pullets to replace the one that the PO let die!!

Hey everyone. Just checking in to say hello and see how everyone's girls are doing. I had my first Cornish Rock harvest on Sunday and they are delicious. My Red Orphingtons are laying like crazy and my Khaki Campbells have made a nest and started filling it with eggs. Hope you are all doing well and enjoying this lovely weather God has blessed us with.

Howdy La-yers, just got my first egg from one of my Delaware pullets today, I found it out in the run, its about the size of a robin's egg. I'm so excited they are finally starting to lay, been waiting long enough for this day to come, BTW they will be 5 mos. old tomorrow, so they are right on schedule to start up.
