Terri, Congrats on the Anniversary. WOW! 35 yrs. -- I'm impressed!!! Enjoy your evening and eat extra shrimp for me. It sounds delicious!

Whiskey Bay, I'm missing those days where I'd sleep late and not get anything done til the afternoon. Now, I'm scrambling trying to get everything done at school, getting my horses fed at the property, and tending to my flocks at home.

By 8:00 p.m. I'm beat! Enjoy your leisure days!

Missi, be careful with that blood pressure. I take meds for blood pressure too. When I run out of my meds I can tell because my face gets beet red and my blood pressure rises. I never had blood pressure issues until this past year but it is hereditary in my family. Stress and a heavy workload surely don't help matters. I hope you get to enjoy a late sleep on Saturday morning.

I'm here too! Just haven't had much free time since I have been working every day since last Monday...I will be off Sunday finally! And of course Mon-Wed nights I have school, so my time is very limited right now!

Terri, Happy Anniversary!

Twiley, sounds like you have your hands full. Did you set aside anytime for eating and sleeping? Don't forget that. Hopefully, you will get a break soon.

Good morning & thanks for the anniversary congratulations everybody - hope me & Jim rack up 35 more years!

Not much on tap today, a bit of laundry & think I'll get out some of my fall decorations & put them up.

I have a mystery: there is one Welsummer hen who is either getting out every morning or else she isn't going in at night -- I will have to start doing head counts at night I think -- can't figure out where she would get out at, but she doesn't get out until I let them out of the coop for the day. I open the coop around 6:30 & they roam around their run until afternoon & then I let them out to free range & they put themselves to bed at sundown.

This Wellie not only can get out (or is hiding out)? but she also has figured out how to get over the fence into the backyard just outside my kitchen door! so I open my back door and there she is --- strutting around like she owns the place & asking for treats!

I do eat and sleep but I'm quite rushed getting that done too. I'll be busy for the next two - three months for sure. We're playing "musical houses". We have to give our "notice of intent" to sell to BP by the end of the year to honor the home buyout offered under a relocation package offered to my husband for his new job he started in March. The house on our property is no were near ready to move into. We haven't gotten much work done on it in quite some time. We did get our doggie home built and should finish it up this weekend. Next, I'll build my new chicken pens. We are in the process of moving into a second home that we own for the interim while we sell our current home and hopefully get the third home remodeled and ready to move into. I know it'll be well worth the wait but it sure does get rather frustrating sometimes. Hurricane Rita and Hurricane Ike sure messed up our plans but we're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Finally!!
