Twiley, sounds like you have your hands full. Did you set aside anytime for eating and sleeping? Don't forget that. Hopefully, you will get a break soon.

I do eat and sleep but I'm quite rushed getting that done too. I'll be busy for the next two - three months for sure. We're playing "musical houses". We have to give our "notice of intent" to sell to BP by the end of the year to honor the home buyout offered under a relocation package offered to my husband for his new job he started in March. The house on our property is no were near ready to move into. We haven't gotten much work done on it in quite some time. We did get our doggie home built and should finish it up this weekend. Next, I'll build my new chicken pens. We are in the process of moving into a second home that we own for the interim while we sell our current home and hopefully get the third home remodeled and ready to move into. I know it'll be well worth the wait but it sure does get rather frustrating sometimes. Hurricane Rita and Hurricane Ike sure messed up our plans but we're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Finally!!

Wow! Sounds a lot like our situation. I just built a pen for our six Shih Tzu, and now working on the chicken coop. Moving is by far my least favorite activity.

That crazy little rooster is crowing up a single note storm this morning. I was thinking it was a familiar sound, maybe like a seagull call, but decided he sounds like an emperor penguin! So silly.

Nice & cool first day of fall here! I have to buy -- guess what? -- CHICKEN FEED! --
gig.gif

& some people feed, too. Then I'm coming home & reset the rocks in my rock garden.

My young blue wheaton Ameracauna roo is starting to crow & honestly, I went to see what was the matter - he sounds like he's strangling. I've never heard such a pitiful sound in my life!

TGIF everybody!

Thanks Julie and Terri Ann,.. Yeah,.. Olivia has the Dr. all interested in owning chickens now,.. he sure has the room,.. 100 acres,.. anyway,. he thinks says anything that relaxes me and my BP is good for me,.. so BYC is now Dr. Prescribed!

It's kind of a sad day here,.. we have a beautiful BR roo that has to be culled. He is so sweet,.. we can carry him around like a pup,.. and a good protector too,.. but we have two roos too many and he is just too hard on the girls,..he has some favorites ( that can't escape him for even a second) and some he dislikes and wont let eat and he's not being used for breeding,. and he's noisy, noisy, noisy,..,.. but he's the sweetest roo we've ever had. Usually I'm begging DH to cull the roos,.. but this one I will miss,.. We had a few people offer to take him,.. but after seeing the way they take care of their flocks,.. we decided he's better off in the freezer,...I don't drink anymore,.. but when I was young my Pawpaw used to give his roos a beer before the ax,.. I think I will go get Adrien a brewski,..
Hope ya'll have a nice weekend,..
