Sometimes a shower before bed & at the end of it, I turn the water to cold & really give myself chillbumps! - then crawl into bed & pull the covers up & that helps me drop off. We do have a ceiling fan in our bedroom & sleep under it year round -- I have to have "moving air" & I like to sleep cool, too.

You definitely have my sympathy on the insomnia thing!
