"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I know that feeling!!! They are like that here!!! We just got a pair (I hope!!) of turkeys. Black spanish supposed to be,but I'm leaning towards bronze....I dunno...Anyway.... The tom is a pain in the butt...He follows me around like he grew up here with the chickens, and takes the freakin cup out of my hand!!!! yeah,I have a lil vinegar bottle I cut in half that I use to scoop crack corn out of the barrel and throw to them when I'm tryin to walk across the yard and he just freakin takes it right out of my hand and runs with it!!!! the chickens are looking round like what just happened??? Where's our treats??? Then I have to proceed to chase this freakin turkey down to get my cup back and start all over again...lol....Then I'm tryin to hide the cup with a turkey neck peeking around me.... Now I know where they get the term "peeping Tom" from....lol....

Funny! I'd love to see all of that in person!

Those things scare the you-know outtta me! I was chased & spurred by a tom turkey when I was a little kid & I've been afraid of them ever since!

Between you & Whiskey Bay, if I had something like that come at me, I'd have my hatchet out & we would have a "come-to-Jesus" meeting right then & there!

is anybody normal on this group?

what are the 'register' names of your dogs' parents? do you want to "tag" the previous lines or come up w/something totally your own? lol, Dexter for the male comes to mind first. Be so normal that you're subnormal.

Well my son named his female Zeta... "Z" for short. and the male is Southernedgepits "Tank".... which is flatly cheesey and overused...lol.... The pups produced should be in the following colors... Champagne, black, blue, fawn, and tri. and any combination of those.Such as blue fawn, champagne tri, blue tri, black tri,etc...

Here are the parents...
mom is black and dad is blue fawn....

I don't have pups yet... Not until around the 30th. those were pups the sire produced a few weeks ago with a black tri female. My female has the tri base to her genetics I believe. Not sure, just guessing by her and her dad's color pattern of the deep black with the brown undertone around the face and legs,etc...You can see it in her "supervisor" pics. But to look at her in basic lighting they demonstrate deep black coloring.Soooo I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for some blue tri females....Z's parents were Kimo (Blk)(who had a black sire/blue dam) and Ioji (blue/wht)with(Blue/white ticked sire/ blue brindle dam) and Tank's parent's were blk/wht sire and fawn/white darn...

They only bred once and she is already looking huge for still having at least 3 weeks to go and only one lock.I started working on her whelping box today and of freaking course wouldn't you know my table saw decided to crap out...

soo tomorrow I have to go pick up a circular saw to finish the job. It's going to be a basic 4' X4' X 2'high box with a hinged lid for easy access for me.

Definately post some pics for me Mike... I love seeing O.P.P. Other Peoples Pits (get ya minds out tha gutters...lol....) APBT have been my heart for a couple of decades now. I ran a rescue for almost 10 years until Katrina tore down an acre worth of kennels, training yards, excercise pens and hard work and 17 lives. I had to get away for a few years while we rebuilt, but I guess I just couldn't stay away.

The turkeys not mean...just smart. He knew to grab the cup and go.....

I agree with the festive dinners for mean or just plain ole ugly birds. What else are they good for? After all, they are at the bottom of our foodchain.
