Ok I laughed so hard at that I almost had to change...lol...that was hilarious.Sounds like something that would happen around here. The roosters here all know what the net means when I pull it out.Especially when they are still locked up in the pen. They will all start running around like crazy until they realize I'm going after a particular one or two, then they seem to kind of herd them off to the corner...lol. They just haven't realized yet that eventually they will all be gone except for 4 of them.I will keep 2 Lav Orp roos and Bernie for definate and if TB doesnt get Bennie I'll keep him and sell off all of the blue roos.Otherwise I may keep 1 blue roo if one develops that I like. They are still young.I still need to find another Buff roo.I don't think the one I have is "active".
Luckily My guineas aren't as wild as most usually are.I don't know if it's because I hand raised them and they grew up with my Orps (and actually stay in the pen with my Orps). They are still hyper children, but they don't fly away or wander off or anything, and I only have a 4 ft fence. Every once in a while they will start goofing off or something and fly up and one or two will end up on the other side of the fence and then freak out because they can't figure out how to get back over.Yeah you read right...they can't figure out to FLY back over the 4 ft fence. They will stand on the other side and wait for me to reach over and net them to save them from the monster cow... (The cow doesn't like the noisy ole guineas) OK so maybe I have intellectually challenged guineas. But they are just like the chickens. When I walk outside they come (half running/half flying) full speed to see what I'm gonna give em.And lately they have been sneaking up to the back deck and checking out the 'open door where the human comes from".The chickens are to puffy and cant fit through the steps to get up there....lol...
