I fed the fermented feed to the animals this weekend. They seemed to like it. I don't think that I can do this on a regular basis. It's too much work. I have too many animals to take on this task. Feeding fermented feed to almost 300 birds is WAAAAAAAYYYYY too much work for me. :/

I know I don't have as many as you & Jeff, but I'm in agreement with both of you. Way too much work! I'm going back to my old way of feeding them.

Same here. Another thread that is talking about FF, seems to think it's just as easy to do 200+ birds.

After getting up from the floor from under my desk from laughing so hard, I replied back to the response.

Terri, the pea boys are scaring me. They have been making noises that I have NEVER heard in my life. I don't usually hear them when I am in bed, but for the last 2 nights, I have been hearing them LOUD AND CLEAR. They are keeping up a heap of noise with some of the STRANGEST SOUNDS - OMG !!!. I sure hope the girls cooperate with them so they can quiet down. I'm about to call animal control on myself if they don't quiet down.

I think if you have a small operation or are home all the time, then it's probably worth it.  Me?  I like efficiency, so from the sounds of it I may just have to scratch the fermented feed idea!

Gracie, I kinda know what you operate over there and what you have and you are too busy and have too many animals to do it. Not being negative but it's time consuming. You wouldn't be able to enjoy your life and breath if you did that.

Gracie, I kinda know what you operate over there and what you have and you are too busy and have too many animals to do it. Not being negative but it's time consuming. You wouldn't be able to enjoy your life and breath if you did that.

I don't think anyone would be mad about you giving your opinion! What's good for one isn't always good for the other! Just how it works!

True. I listened to them describe how I could do the FF and my brain almost exploded. There is no way I could do that. If I didn't have a full time 40 hour a week job, then maybe but I can't with a full time job and all of the other stuff that I do.

Same here! No way I could keep up with it. Especially if I have to go out of town. That would be a nightmare! It's hard enough finding someone reliable to take care of the critters while I'm gone. I'd hate to scare them off by having them serve and mix my fermented feed!

EXACTLY!!!!!! I went out of town for 1 weekend and the "egg picker" that I thought could pick eggs couldn't do that. Poor thing. And I walked through the process and left sticky notes posted and instructions and directions. It was a disaster. Seriously????? Picking eggs???? Really?????? Is it that hard to pick eggs????? So, I'm back to square one. I can't leave town until after 5pm when all eggs are picked and I have to make sure that I'm back within 24 hours. :/ There has got to be a better way to do this. Now just imagine if I asked them to mix the fermented feed. They would look at me like I was crazy.

Hey I got some of those WR eggs(14) from J-whip(XW poultry farm) in the cooker as we speak I'm hoping to get a couple of killer lookers outta that. this might be my crank-up for a showing start, maybe? we shall see
