"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Good morning! Well, This morning there was a black dirt speck on my chicken and I thought, I have to vaccinate, NOW. I've had the vaccine, but was a bit nervous about doing anything that poked holes in my chickens. But, I studied the YouTube video many times, re-read the instructions from this thread that I printed up, read the instructions that came with the vaccine and mixed and DID it! Now, you experienced people out there will being laughing at me, but I was really scared to do it. It WAS easy, just like you said. I could have done this a long time ago. Even when I pulled out a few feathers it didn't seem to hurt them and neither did the pronged thing. They didn't like being on their backs, though. Now, I'll just do it every year easily. I am so proud of myself.

While I had them upsidedown, I saw white specks in their feathers even though they have a regular area that they dust bathe, but I'll go back on this thread and re-read all the talk on dusting for mites.

I'm pretty sure I remember that there is no need to hold back the eggs after pox vaccine, but if I'm wrong, please say so. THANKS. I'm a big girl now!! LOL
