"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

My friend who raises rabbits had left his barn door open for ventililation and when he came in that evening there was a 6 foot alligator in the barn! Only in louisiana! Lol!

Good morning ya'll. Bad weather last night and I slept through it. :/

Had another gosling hatch on yesterday and the turkey hen and muscovy hen that hatched it attacked me as I removed the baby. I have a few war wounds to prove it. :/

I noticed on yesterday that my new baby lamb is having trouble "finding" the mothers nipples to suck. I suddenly got a mental picture of me feeding this baby every 2 hours. :th So, I immediately had to come up with a plan because if I have to feed it every 2 hours it will die because I am not able to do that because I have to work. I was able to catch the mom and bring the baby over to the mom and let her suck for a while. I have them penned up to ensure that the baby eats but I'm not confident that the baby can find the nipples. At first I thought the baby was blind but it's not. It walks around and appears to see fine. So, I guess today, I will make my way to TSC to buy milk and buy bottles to feed it. This is going to be difficult. :hit

Wished you lived closer to me I would help feed.

Thank you for the offer.

If you think a goat herd would accept a sheep, then I volunteer if you can't get him eating properly.

Oh My I would have to take an old screen door & add hard wire to keep gator & other wild life out scary

Gracie, I hope so. I placed it near the nipples and it did suck a while on yesterday but it seems to be a slow learner. I pray that it will finally get it because if not, in the best interest of the lamb, I will have to give it to someone who can nurse it because I cannot physically nurse it. I would have to take off from work for a few days to care for this baby. I can't let it die because of that. I'm so nervous.

I will check into it and let you know. Thanks.

Oh my! I would be at an utter loss of how to deal with that!

As krazy as I am, I would have barricaded the door and went inside to get the gun and shot it and hoped that I knew someone who could process him. :drool Would that have been illegal? :idunno
