Karma sometimes takes a while, the Sheriff's Department will be quicker.
I am mostly a lurker here, but this made me chuckle...my doberman's name is Karma and he would be a lot quicker!

Your babies are so stinking cute!!!! Ideal poultry is a good place to order. I ordered a special from them before and was very satisfied. All birds arrived alive and I did no lose one single bird. They even threw in a few extra. I ordered 25 Rhode Island Red pullets.New lesson learned... I thought my old hog waterer was big enough for the 57 day olds for a few days. Its the size of my dining room table! Doesn't look like it, seems like I have to drag out the big brooder. My kid took the batteries out of the camera and I haven't reset the date so ignore it. Seems like they haven't slept much in their travels, I keep checking on them because they are falling asleep in the feed and standing up. If they all make it threw tonight I am good to go.![]()
Here is what I did today. Ahhhh, retirement. I found a broken up bench that someone put out as trash. I loaded it in my car and today put it back together. I'm going to paint it and put it in the chicken yard for chicken watching. It is very heavy and sturdy (now lol). It was very rickety when I picked it up.

I only have 5 so none for sale, sorry -- Julie might have some. Yes they are really good watch dogs & we have seen ZERO NONE snakes this year! and everybody all around us has killed snakes! I love our guineas. It's like having living cartoon characters in your backyard! They aren't for everybody. They are extremely independent, extremely nosey, & extremely noisy when they spot an intruder (anything from people to a stray cat or dog - they know who 'belongs' here & who doesn't).Does anyone have some guineas for sale? Would it be worth having like half a dozen of them free ranging to help warn for preditors. Are they really good guard dogs lol..

Looks like you have officially joined the LA-yers Peep thread. We all feel that way. Keep up the good work!Ok...I know I'm new to chickens. I just got my flock as chicks in April. I feel a little overwhelmed at everything I need to learn, but also excited. I want to know it NOW! My two boys and I love our flock of 15. We are entertained by them daily and love all of the different personalities we see. Even our rooster Harry Larry is a treat! That being said, I stopped with my boys this morning at the Tractor Supply in Covington. They had someone there selling some different breeds of chickens. I was somewhat stunned at what they were selling. These were some pretty sad looking chickens! They looked a pretty long way away from healthy! They had some bloody bald spots and looked about as ragged as I've ever seen. I can't believe that Tractor Supply would have them there. I got the name of the person selling them, because I want to be sure NEVER to purchase anything from them. Granted, my flock is all hatchery, and I'm sure I would never win any sort of contest with them, but they are healthy and happy. I have learned, that any additions I make to my flock, I want to be purchased locally. I told my boys to touch NOTHING and we cleaned our shoes before we got back into the car. I'm done ranting, I was just very surprised this morning...and not in a good way! Thanks for letting me vent, Laurie![]()
