Here my vulture tree lol

They sit there in the rain n wash off then sit wings spread in the sun for hours. It's creepy in the winter especially when no leaves are anywhere else around it lol

The only thing that tree is missing is a hulking vulture. Lol. I can't wait for the Jeff v. Guinea event. Terri and Julie, your day looks fabulous. Actually one of my favorite foods is biscuits and muscadine jelly.

Well, Amanda is back at school so my partner isn't here to inspire me.

Coco the snuffles bunny still doesn't sound good, not worse, but not significantly better after one week (of 2 weeks) antibiotic treatment. So, I'm going to call the vet today. She definitely does not seem too hot with the misting system. It's supposed to cool the air by 20 degrees. It does make everything wet, but her enclosure is so big at least 1/2 of it is dry and her food and frozen bottles are on the dry side. Her tunnel and house are dry, too.

And how is your day? I think the last 2 days have been the hottest yet, or else I'm getting tired of the heat.

I set up a fan for our new lop ear bunny...he sits in front of it sprawls out and fur goes everywhere but man he loves it.

They are no longer ducklings...painted black, they are a rare hybrid chicken / duck cross!!! Make someone a great deal...and they can get rich reselling them!!

That's what they did with dogs. I think some breeder somewhere accidentally let the poodles in with the yorkies and thought, oh, no, what am I going to do with these puppies?? Hummm "pooyork". Humm no, "dleies" hummm no, yorkipoo, yes!! That's it!! They sold for MORE than his pure breeds. And, designer dogs were born. I have a poohuahua or, if you prefer a chioodle. Mine was a rescue mutt, but what the heck. So, why not designer chickens. I can start with the ones in my backyard. Lol.

My hubby was making us girls an afternoon snack......mine was ham omelet on a corn tortilla with homemade salsa. He was using half duck eggs and half chicken eggs. The duck egg on the left was a double I always like seeing those. My mother in law bought the duck eggs for me. Sweet!

I had a few bananas that were getting too ripe and I knew that I wasn't going to eat them, so I made banana nut bread.

Simple recipe. Took no time at all.

Banana Bread Recipe
Prep time: 5 minutes Cook time: 1 hour

INGREDIENTS
3 or 4 ripe bananas, smashed
1/3 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar (can easily reduce to 3/4 cup)
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour

METHOD
No need for a mixer for this recipe. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). With a wooden spoon, mix butter into the mashed bananas in a large mixing bowl. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in. Add the flour last, mix. Pour mixture into a buttered 4x8 inch loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour. Cool on a rack. Remove from pan and slice to serve.

Yield: Makes one loaf.

LOL yeah I bet it'd make for great muffins and usually muffin tops too LOL as I said on another thread the other day about our La-yer physiques generally involve a little extra poundage due to our eats. LOL I said the crawfish pies "ain't" so bad on us as the rice and gravies are (my friend calls gravy "gravity" and it likes to hang around right at your mid section/muffin top area) LOL "it sticks to your ribs"LOL as my Grandma used to say when I was a young boy about my oatmeal she coaxed me into eating instead of cornflakes or the like, LOL
