"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

They are not "rare" as we would think but I do know that they are expensive. I wouldn't spend that much on a chicken but then that's just me.

Fadism huh? sorta the same thing as jimmychew shoes an bersachy purses  I can do without either brand I'll take DG sneakers and a burlap tote sack any day for those prices HUH? ladies LOL

Jeff

Ditto !!! :thumbsup

Maaaaan. I asked nice but was told that's the low end (price of one in particular) others were higher because of the "4-H quality" "these win a prize"

Lol this really shouldn't bother me. But it does. If Newbs believe certain prices it becomes the norm. But then again I have a mutt hen people have offered me $50 for because she did tricks lol for treats and she was a free barnyard mix for me, so this shouldn't irk me...does make me think my ameraucanas may be the wrong breed to get into! Whew! That's a pretty penny for one chick. Not even knowing the quality for a few more months...

I seem to remember some post about an all black chicken for $5000...lol
The black chickens are Greenfire Farm's newsletter this month. Jerry Schnexsayder (not sure of how to spell last name) was the 1st person in the US to import Seramas - he lives in La. I know his prices vary as to quality & size. I think the idea of one that small is neat but have no desire to own one. I'd probaly accidentally step on it or something.

I agree...this lady didn't mention who's lines they were from. I asked outta curiosity. Before researching some quick info and seeing they were a mini chicken. I need LF here to keep up free ranging, kids, dog, me lol and from them trying to death squat me at that size? And cost? I'd die if I booted one in mid-step!

Same here. I just sit back and watch them spend all of their money make other people richer and wonder how can they throw their money away like that. I'm more comfortable in a holey pair of sweat pants, or shorts and shirts with stains and holes in them with flip flops and crusty feet (oops TMI. - too much info on the crusty feet). :hide

I'm easy. I'm far away from being a fashion statement. I make another kinda statement - "Comfortable". :D
