I went to a moving sale last weekend. I saw the rooster bowl and loved it. I also loved the chicken print. The bowl was a kitchen prop in the movie Pitch Perfect. Anyway, she said if I paid $15 for the bowl she would throw in the print for free. When I got home I looked closer at the print. Turns out it is a signed numbered Beth Cummings print worth several hundred dollars. It had authentication on the back. Go figure, I just liked the chickens.![]()

I was excited, nothing like this has ever happened to me before. I just liked the chickens in the print. Lol
Coons more than likely at night not that a fox wont strike at night they will but they don't climb as well as coons or Bobcats too. Terri may have some girls she was trying to downsize here a few weeks back.Looking to buy two pullets or laying hens around six months old to match age with our three girls. Any good laying breed. We lost one to a fox last night, and have another that was plucked pretty good, but fought back enough to get away. We assume it was a fox since they climbed the chicken yard gate where they got in under the bird netting, drug her out the same way, and left nothing behind but feathers The girls are locked up tight in the coop tonight, as opposed to being allowed to roost on top of it, and live traps are set. We are in Pineville (Central Louisiana), but willing to drive an hour or so to get them.

Congrats!! That's awesome! I love the bowl, very pretty.
Some folks suggest using Vet Rx on the combs and wattles or skin so soft is what I think Julie uses, my birds have to suck it up I can't put a preventative on hundreds every night but I don't loose birds to little critters here just big ones ever so often, if the dogs are not on it that day/night.Could it be the rooster being too rough? Any suggestions to try if it's gnats?
Thanks for your help,
Laurie
