"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Probably a garter snake.
Hard to tell from skins, some clues if coloring is present but even the legnth of a snake is deceiving from a skin...it stretches. (usually 1/3 longer skin than actual snake.)
Garters eat bugs & small minnows n lil stuff. Most are striped down the back and have checkered bellies (probably not visable on skin?) They won't hurt you chickens, I actually caught one the other day tried to toss it in the woods, it came crawling back into the coop area and BAM my red sex link had a snack lol she wasted not a moment gobbling it up :/

Well of that's true then this snake its TINY! The skin is less than 12 inches.

I'm still going to wear my boots out for awhile......out just makes me nervous.

Crazy question here but everyone knows what mosquitoes bring to chickens right?????????????

Disease?? I have a fan on my chickens and bunnies everyday 24/7. I use it bec it's hot, but also heard it protects them from Mosquitos and probably gnats too. It doesn't take a lot of wind to prevent them from flying. Same thing if you're sitting outside and keeps you cool and no chemicals.

Mosquitoes = Dry Pox
Dry Pox could lead to Wet Pox
Wet Pox could lead to Death

Shouldn't you be sleeping??? I got some of those vanilla car thingies. Let's see if they work.

Nobodies "spots" on their combs looks any worse, if anything LouLou's (blue hen in picture) is looking better.

Hopefully, after being up at 3am, you're sleeping in.

Shhhhhh. It would be YOU who would notice the time. I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep right away. Yes, I slept in until 7:00am. Had to get up and get the gumbo going. The pea chick makes the crazy whistling noise that is kinda irritating. Really can't sleep with that noise. I have baby chicks and the pea chick in the kitchen so that I can keep a close eye on them.

Let me know how the mosquito control works. Keep an eye on the birds that gave scabs. Monitor inside of their mouth for yellow areas. Also monitor their eye area. If you see problems let me know and I will tell you what to do.

Good luck.
