How does the obama care help anyone or make any kind of sense? You pull money from the food stamps program where there are some really needy people (not all) to help fund this thing, then you say that with federal help for the lowest income the costs can be as little as $100 per person out of pocket, Then the people who created it won't even use it because it isn't good enough for them, then threaten jail time and fines for the ones that can't afford it. If everyone could afford health care out of pocket I think they would choose that route instead of loosing their house from bankruptcy caused by medical bills. This country is in debt already and now instead of giving just food stamps, we are now going to pay for their entire care in jail and have less people to work making us more dependent on other countries to sell us goods that we can't afford because all the small companies will close. No matter what way you look at this thing it is a complete screw up!

Thanks.  But he just texted that they are sending them all home.  All the news reports are saying that all active duty military is being paid.  Not true.  He IS on ACTIVE DUTY orders along with most others in his office.  But they are all on furlough now.

I wonder if that applies to the active rhat are deployed. My son is in Afghanistan. He will be some kind of up set if he don't get paid!!!!!

My husband says that out depends on the orders. All of the deployed active duty in other countries should be fine.

No matter if your political affiliation, or beliefs...
I believe....

1.  If Obama Care (right or wrong) is around...then it should apply to ALL Americans ( IE... SENATE...no exceptions)

2.  If the government is shut down and essential personnel are expected to work without pay, then ALL government officials ( IE... SENATE...) should work without pay.


I am tired of hearing how things will impact Americans, well, except for the Senators...well...except for the 1000 plus people that Obama gave special health care exemptions to...

I should have included CONGRESS in my above statement also.
