"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

BYC is considered a family forum. The girl(sassymygirl) that started this thread was only a young teen(15 or 16) then. As long as you can type and read you can post on here, there's no age limit. If you don't believe me string out an bunch of cuss words on here or nasty pics. and a mod. or admn. will cue you in for sure. LOL(I got "learn'd" the hard way) and J/S

Jeff,
I believe that ederob "Eve" is much younger than 15 or 16. My concern is that there is a very minor child participating in a predominately adult forum (though all are welcome) without her parents knowledge. I would not want my 12 year old participating in an online forum without my knowledge or consent. Though many consider this a "family forum", even you can acknowledge that we often allude to things that are more "adult" in nature that a younger child need not be exposed to.
This is not meant to start an argument. I only want to be respectful and mindful that a potentially very young person is present (AND with her parents knowledge and consent). I would hope that others would extend the same mindfulness if my 12 year old ever ended up on an online forum. (A side note, as I said before, I would skin him alive)

I meant no disrespect.

Crawfish Opelousas:

1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 bell pepper, finely chopped
2 stalks celery, sliced
1/2 stick butter
1 (14 1/2 oz) can chicken broth
1 (10 3/4 oz) can Campbell's Golden Cream of Mushroom soup
1 Tablespoon Creole seasoning
1 (14 1/2 oz) can stewed tomatoes
1 (16 oz) pkg frozen crawfish tails (or equivalent in shrimp)
1 (8 oz) pkg mushrooms, coarsely chopped
1 tablespoon fresh minced parsley
1 bay leaf, finely chopped
1 dash freshly ground black pepper to taste
2 cups cooked long grain white rice

Saute onion, bell pepper & celery in butter until tender. Add chicken broth, cream of golden mushroom soup, stewed tomatoes & Creole seasoning. Simmer for about 20 minutes. Add crawfish tails, fresh mushrooms, parsley, bay leaf & black pepper. Cover & bring to a boil, then uncover, reduce heat & simmer 5-8 minutes until tails are tender & mushrooms are cooked through. Serve over rice.
This sounds fabulous!!! Thanks You!! I am making it this weekend.

Giant George the world's tallest dog EVER who stood over 7ft tall on his hind legs passes away at home.

Giant George, the world's tallest dog ever has died at home in Tuscon, Arizona one month before his eighth birthday.

Passing away surrounded by owners on October 17th, the blue Great Dane measured 43 inches tall from paw to shoulders and was able to stand seven-feet-three-inches tall on his hind legs.

Weighing 245 pounds, George was in fact the runt of his litter when born but grew up to be recognized by Guinness World Records in 2010 not just as the World's Tallest Dog, but the Tallest Dog Ever.

The enormous but gentle beast consumed 180 pounds of food a month and slept in his own queen sized mattress.

In a poignant posting on his own official Facebook page, owners Dave and Christie Nasser wrote, 'It is with a heavy heart that we announce Giant George died last night. George passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones; one month before his eighth birthday.'

[COLOR=000000]Good morning! It’s my birthday today. I am 57 years young! And it’s Friday!
All good! I laughed at the 3 chicks in the brooder this morning – it was chilly, when I went to open the coop for the main flock, I uncovered the brooder & unplugged the heat lamp on my way – when I came back, they were all three peeking through the front of the brooder at me & cheeping in protest. So I turned their heat lamp back on. They have me trained well.

Tonight Jim’s grilling a ribeye and the 2 lobster tails we bought for our anniversary a couple weeks ago & didn’t get around to cooking. I’m doing a broccoli and tomato salad to go with that. My Mom (who will be 83 in 2 weeks) made my traditional birthday cake – a hummingbird cake! & I do wish I could share it w/all of you – Daddy picked up enough fresh pecans to use in it – pecans, crushed pineapple, bananas, cream cheese pecan frosting – it’s downright decadent!

Happy Birthday!!
