Bring it on! I Love me bad weather I won't lie.

I don't mind regular storms but tornadoes terrify me. I have nightmares all of the time about tornadoes. When tornado weather rolls around I become and anxious, hot mess.

Good job! I will confess, excluding insects..... I have never done it before. My husband has always been the one to do the deed. I will if I have to, but I haven't so far. My 3 Appenzellar Spitzhauben girls have gotten big enough to join my main flock now so I introduced them today and it went very smoothly. My rooster was his typical self "Heeeeyyy Baby." I was hoping to have a rooster but all 3 turned out to be pullets, which could be far worse. For now I think sultan/spitzhauben crosses will be lovely when they start to lay.

He's old enough to see the beard and muffs. And the comb is a bit large so it doesn't seem he is an amercauna, but your bird is so beautiful, an EE, you should be proud of him. And, he will only get more beautiful as he fills out.

He's a sweetie and was given to me so I plan to keep him, I'm very interested to see how he continues too feather out and grow. I'm disappointed he's not what I was hoping he would be but I will keep him and find an Ameracauna Rooster I can put with hen.

What would his color be considered?

You could cross him with your ameraucana hen and get more EEs. They make super adorable chicks. The offspring will lay various shades of greens to pink/browns, even gray lol like mine. Possibly blue (i don't know whats in his genes)

I dont shoot birds of prey. Nor dogs I know
I flung a flip flop off the 2nd story porch one time at a hawk that snatched a chicken and couldn't get her poor fat butt off the ground but 2 feet maybe...I missed lol but my dog fetched my chicken back! Gun was right there as well as my crossbow and pellet gun...a opossum or coon wouldn't of even made it to the coop but it wasn't even a reaction to reach for a weapon when I saw it happening from above. But I flung that flip flop! I don't know why I throw shoes...its a problem.

There actually is something significant about throwing shoes. The Russian Premier banged his shoe in a Unied Nations conference years ago. But what I remember best is when the big statute of Sadam was taken down by the Americans, the Iraqs threw their shoes at the statute as a symbol of very high insult to Sadam. So your shoe was a very high insult to the hawk. I agree about not shooting hawks. I could not even begin to consider shooting a dog. It felt bad to just write that sentence. I'm a rescuer. My limit may very well be possums. I don't aspire to any other things as far as shooting is concerned.

Give me a hurricane any day you can predict where they are going to hit, how long, and prepare. Tornadoes scare the heck out of me!

Also EEs I believe, the white one may be an ameraucana possibly.

Yellow skin (on the bottoms of feet) indicate EE. Ameraucanas have white skin.

I can't see the comb of the white one clear enough on my phone. Ameraucana have pea combs.
EE combs can vary greatly depending on genes.

Are they laying? EEs lay various shades depending on genes and ameraucanas lay only blue eggs.

A lot of hatcheries sell EEs as ameraucana. Then people buy from their trusted source of chicks and breed them and sell them as ameraucana.

On my hunt for blue egg layers I ended up with EEs myself. After a lot of research , time wasted and money (still wanted my blue eggs and my EEs weren't green egg layers lol) I now know a few quick tips when looking at the EEs people have been selling as ameraucana. Most people aren't aware because they were told so buy someone else (hatchery). It's not often done maliciously I don't think.

I kinda wish he was older I want to experiment with him and my hen to see what their chicks would look like. I don't mind that he's an EE I just want to make sure I call it right. I don't want to say I have one thing when it's actually another. I know the hen lays blue at least that's what the person I bought her from told me. She's not laying right now so I will have to wait to see for myself.
