Thank you for the links. I have had concern about moving them. I like the statement "Staples should be attached one to several days before the move. Bees do not take kindly to hammering at night (or day for that matter)".

I would have never figured that out. But moving it as a unit will present a problem. I had at one point considered changing from dry van to specialty of moving bees. Now days bees are moved in refrigerated vans. No, at at -20. But to keep them cool. It lowers the death rate closer to normal end of life cycle. Most of the time (depending) the brood supper is sealed and moved, when setting them up a fresh honey supper is added with quean excluder. Some time 1 or more full frames are added. This was told to me by a bee keeper. I found this interesting because everything I have read and heard Sayers do not do this for several reasons. It was probably something he dose only. I belong to a local bee club, unfortunately I have not been attending. There is actually 2 owners. I will have to buy out my partner. He is very controlling, so I have backed away from the management. Partners do not always work out, as in my case. He has me feeding them, I do not believe in that. Only if hard times, or at the beginning. I believe it weakens the hive, and the honey is of a poor quality. Sugar and corn syrup, will never make good honey.
I will be bringing it. I'm up for the move. I just hope the cover doesn't tare. It will most likely be moved with my chickens.
