Excuses? No excuse for that. Sorry that they didn't make it right. I know that I would still be paranoid if I lost that many birds. That's so sad. Sounds like you definitely need to lock your up every night.

I divorced at 37 and my mama told me to never remarry because I hadn't liked being controlled before so why do it again? So I didn't. NEVER regretted it. At times I think maybe I'm missing something. Then I think NAW.

That's so sad. I don't know if I would have been as calm as I was with this last massacre. I think the "Real Deal" - - -> (ME) would have come out then. I am so so so sorry for your loss. How long after did the neighbors move away? Did they take KILLER with them?

For me, I cannot stand to be around a man every single day of the week, day in / day out, 24/7. Heck, I can't stand to be around anyone for that period of time. The person that I would have to marry would have to be gone for EXTENDED periods of time. Like someone who works offshore and is gone for 4 weeks or more and is home no more than 2 weeks. If he is at home longer than 2 weeks, then he has to find somewhere to go or take up a hobby. I'm not a people person and I don't like clingy people. I have heard women say that they can't live without a man and they HAVE to be married. And nothing's wrong with that FOR THEM. I sometimes think about those women and I feel sorry for them. It's sad when you can't function because you NEED a man to be around. I feel so sorry for women like that. It must be lonely and miserable for them if they have to be around someone 24/7. I don't see how they do it. I think they need a hug.

Hey now, I haven't been without my husband for nearly 10 years and I could not handle extended periods of absence well. It's not that I cannot live without a man, but I need my best friend and partner. Yeah there are a lot of men who's company I could not stand as much. I didn't marry any of those. lol. Maybe one day you would meet a man you wouldn't want to send off on the nearest train to Canada after a week - and he would see you as Julie. Not "A WOMAN."

Total understandably which is why I "opted out" of that headache. I can't stand the crying and the noise from a baby. I know my limitations and I can't deal with the racket. I can't even stand to hear babies crying in the stores. That's why I try to take care of my errands and store shopping as EARLY as possible when people are not in the stores yet. Saves me a lot of headache. I know that babies cry and that's what they do but I chose no to put up with that noise.

I just thought about an email that someone sent to me about "farm visits". The lady wanted to know if kids were allowed to visit and see the animals. I emailed her back and said yes but under one condition (along with another condition for adults - which was that no tobacco products allowed on premises. Smokers cannot smoke and dippers cannot dip and chew and spit out the crap on the ground.); that the kids are well behaved and supervised and not allowed to run around like out-of-control demons and disrupt my chicken yard (well, I didn't use the word demons). Little to say was that I never heard back from her. So obviously her kids were bad and she was a smoker. I have had to ask a couple families to leave my property because of the kids. I can't stand a bad kid. Makes me want to rip my eyeballs OUT.

I am pages behind on posts, so if anyone said anything directed towards me in the last few pages, I missed it! Some fuzzy butt cuteness!!! One of the "extras" in my shipment. This is the little Dark Brahma roo baby. Well, Brahma at least. The MM website doesn't list them having some of the color variations that are out there, so Dark is the most likely for this guy. He looks like a really chunky guy already. But its just his fuzz, weighs in at 1.0 ounce. My trio of Dark Cornish LF hens. They are already weighing in just slightly more than most of the other breeds. 1.2oz average this am. 2 White Laced Red Cornish hens. These also are weighing in slightly above the Wyandottes and Rocks. Rediculous cuteness here!!!! Golden Polish hens...... White Wyandotte hens......doing pretty good this morning. Calm and not too sassy. Columbian Wyandotte hens.....all doing very well. 2 of the Cornish X babies. Already up to 2 ounces on all but one this am. The hatchery threw in an extra one of these which I think probably had something to do with them all making it. These babies can put off some HEAT!!!!! And they do NOT like being in the box for weight time or pictures, hahaha!!! I didn't get pictures of the White Plymouth Rock chicks, 3 of them. They are doing good though. A little too big for their britches though!! Already throwing their weight around I didn't want to stress the Buff Plymouth Rocks by having them out for extra time, so I don't have a good pic of them. They are all still alive. But.....I am still not confident on the smallest one. They got some scrambled egg this am and have probiotics and electrolytes in their water. Last night when they were getting settled down to sleep and getting the last of their energy bursts out it was like a mini mosh pit in the brooder. A chick would run back and forth and then run towards the ones that were already getting ready to sleep and just jump right up into the middle. It was the funniest thing I had EVER seen in my life!!! Hilarious! Tonight or tomorrow morning I am going to move the Cornish X and 4 White Plymouth Rocks that I already had that are about 1 1/2 week old out to a different brooder. I just want to be sure that everyone is doing good before they go to the bigger brood area out in the greenhouse.
