"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Whoops. This place has some DELICIOUS deer sausage. :drool

Hey, outlaw kuntrygirl .breaking the law for deer lol! Probably some cattle men lobbied for that one. They are crazy I know I can drive 40 min. To miss. And by it it's probably illegal their too. Chrazy polititions telling us what we can and cannot do.

Just read this article where this lady makes her fermented feed... LEAVES IT LIDLESS....  outside.  Allows flies to gather on it.  Says they lay eggs on hers which adds to the stuff to eat.... larvae....
Anyone ever try this?

Soldier flies are attracted to it and will lay eggs that hatch into very nutritious larvae. Unfortunately all sorts of other critters and rats are attracted to it as well.

Yep. I'm a lawbreaker and I will continue to break the law as long as they sell those delicious deer sausage that I buy for my gumbo. :drool

I have a service dog. They are tax deductible, food, vet and grooming, not toys treats and fancy beds. I came across this:
Farm Dogs
A farmer or shepherd who uses a dog to herd or guard cattle, sheep, pigs, or other farm animals can deduct the cost of keeping the dog as a business expense. The cost of the dog itself must be depreciated over seven years or deducted in one year using IRS Code Section 179.

Some of you BYC might qualify. Check it out. Can't hurt.

As a service dog they are under medical equipment, as a farm dog, farm equipment. You can also register him as a farm working dog, if he herds, guard, and is essential to the farm. No idea were you register a working dog.

Did you train your own service dog or get him from an organization?

i've thought about this as I age with my injurded neck. Most working dogs are herding except police and trained protection dogs. I don't know what classifation a tracking or search and rescue would be all of that is done by volenteering. Some make money tracking during deer season. When I took a coruse with Buck Most of the class was hunters, one lady had land she used for a hunting club she would charge to track deer that were shot or during bow season had ran farther then the hunter could find or keep up.. She and her dog would find for a fee or trade for meat. Three of us were their for search and rescue Pam
