My hometown is Monroe and I know where Start is. I'm new also and my babies are 6 days old. They're feathering in and the golden comets have 2 brown lines down their back. Wasn't expecting that. There is a great bunch of folks on here. Stay a while.

Help!! Got a chick that is all of a sudden unable to bear her weight on her right leg. It is swollen at the area that would be an ankle if she had human anatomy. She hasnt been dropped. The only time she is handled is once a day butt cleanings/checks for everyone. She was fine at noon. What should I do!!???

Have you checked Tractor Supply or a feed store. I ordered from Meyers for my 1st batch. Check on Monroe's Craiglist and see if anybody is selling. Do a little research in your area. Go on Craiglist and ask is someone selling chicks. You'll get some answers I'll bet. Keep us informed.

Anybody else out there got any advice for dmgodard?

question: Dose anyone know if Honorably Discharged Army can stay at military Campgrounds? I have been trying to figure it out.

I am coming close to picking up my camper, everything is falling in place. I am working on a design for my truck bed coop, I may even have a renter for my house (a chicken friendly house). I plan a a shake down trip, without chickens. Then the real think in May. I have started my membership in KOA and Good Neighbor Sam, looking into others to see what they can do for me. I found 1 RV place in North Virginia that is very chicken friendly, they have their own chickens that free range, and in in Florida.

I am starting to get excited, definitely looking forward to my (est 2 yr adventure).
