"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Update on my friend: waited two days for the wheels to turn to get him into the nursing home. Just sat with him waiting for confirmation of ambulance transport. At one point they asked if he could go in my car. No! He can't walk or even lift his hand and is over 6' tall and movement hurts. Finally the ambulance came at 1:00 yesterday. I gave him a pain pill 20 minutes before and some morphine when I saw them pull up. Followed the ambulance with his supplies and stuff. Finally got him settled. The orders to the dietician was he would walk to the cafeteria and eat regular food!!! He can't even sit up or bring a spoon to his mouth!!! When they brought the food it was puréed and smelled good, but he really can't eat. The little he ate caused lots of choking. I gave them his meds and it turns out the orders were wrong and not sufficient for his pain!! They were supposed to give him the back up morphine while that is being corrected. I made a schedule of friends for today so hopefully I can take care of the chickens and bunnies today. But, if I get a report from anyone that something is wrong I know I will run over. I will cry a thousand tears when he passes, but not now.

We got it from Lowe's. We used the Quikkrete mold, Quikrete and 2 colors of Quikrete colorant. After looking at this link I am posting below you will see how much practice I need! Lol!! We used the 2 colors so it has a little more of a natural mottled color pattern. Since the stones come out separate I can switch around stones later before we fill in the cracks with sand. That way the colors are even spread out between the whole walkway. You are supposed to mix the color into the water before you mix it with the Quickrete. We didn't read that until it was already mixed

but I think it was for the best anyway. I don't think it would have worked as well to try to do 2 separate batches. We will probably do it the same way as we did last night.

This link has a list of all the things used and links to them on their website. There are a few different colors or you could do it plain.

We used a black and a terra cotta color. I think he over mixed the colors just a bit. I am going to try to reign him in a bit next time. I can't lift the bags or I would do it myself. And if he lifts the bags......well he likes to have the mixing fun

I'm so sorry it didn't go well. I hope things have straightened out now. Keeping him in our prayers. You're a wonderful friend for taking care of him so well.

I have never heard of that store. Do they have a website?

Yes it's treasure hunt.com you know it's the right site if the Gulfport store is on there. They also sell no eBay . I think Fred's discount store is part of there stores or was . If you can't find it let me know I'll post a link.
