Or you may pack up all of your stuff (minus the Parakeet and tools and cat someone stolled) and move to keep them All, until its time for mean rooster soup n enchiladas, lol! Its work but man it is great!

Glad to see we all made it through there storms we were moving the last weeks. Yes it took weeks to move long nightmare story! Our chickens are all great!

I swore I wasn't getting more than 20, but my coop is big enough for over 50 and well . . . . . . The chicken math got me. Especially since I had the room to accommodate them. Now I have 33 with 5 more coming tomorrow. But I'm serious this time 40 is my limit. Maybe 45. But that's it dang it! Lol!! Anyways, hope all is well with you your fam and all of your pets! Finally got caught up AGAIN!
So, after we did the COLOR RUN Marathon this morning, a 'pal' brought ME a shoe box with 5 Cottontail bunnies in it! She found them alone in ther yard, waited a few hours and still no Mama came to collect! So, I guessed she assumed chickens she has bunnies she wont mind? So guess what I did?

Sent Angel a ' WTH ' do I do message and ............... I GOT TO TALK TO HER!!! Angel of my day that is for sure.... I would have been googling all afternoon to figure out what to do and 3 minutes in, I have been educated! So, now I am a mama of 5 kids AND BUNNIES!!!

Can you say JIPUS just got another project?! Bet I'm gonna need some poop bags of my own real soon!

Oh and for KimmieRad? may have gotten the name misspelled,
The chicken breeds Pam mentioned above are great.
I would also like to toss in another breed, since we dont know what you may find, THO THIS IS JUST MY EXPERIENCE (& EACH CHICKEN HAS IT'S OWN PERSONALITY)
Leghorns are one of the top laying breeds. Basic grocery store size, but almost one every day of the year. Not the friendliest, and are all white with white eggs.

Austrolorps are all black. Social but not handle friendly too often.
Rhode Island Reds are one of the friendliest I have ever had. Are like a dark brick red with tan eggs. My sweet girls.
My Easter Eggers lay green to sky blue eggs, with a colorful Rooster and brown hens with a thick peppering of black all over... CAN have some be friendly too.
Orpingtons are sweet, friendly birds but not the best layers.
Sex Links are great layers with a white underlay and copper or gold overlay of feathers.
Domineckers are classic American Chickens who are the black and white striped feathered birds.
White/Black/Barred Rocks are great too with similar to Doms feathers just not uniformed patterns of color.

There is a great BREED page on this website too, just click large fowl and eggs and it will pull them all up for you to read about. BUT, if you are going to KUNTRY's place, you have all you will need! She is "helpful Hannah!" LOL

Best of luck! and remember, chicken wire keeps them in, but nothing out!
