"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Yay! :cd
Good Morning, Louisiana!!!!    Tah Dah!!!    Are you ready for this?    I have TEN count them 10 new chicks.  Super Blue Egg Layers.   This is the batch that spiked on day 1 of over 110. (Before I brought them in the house)  I kept them in the bator because they were not broken or smelly.   I got 14 and 12 went into lockdown.  I dry hatched  35%-45% humidity.    Still a chance of the other two.  It's day 21.  :celebrate

SIL's 21 yr old daughter got a trespassing and under 21 liquor ticket right before her birthday.  He was able to pull some strings to keep it off her record.  She has to do community service along with her boyfriend.  10 hrs. each.  The judge told her attorney he could have them do it at our company  Haughton Dog Grooming.  She has to clean our house and he has to mow and edge.   She  said she'd rather it be on her record.   :lau   But I hear her in the kitchen pouting and doing the dishes.

You don't think it might be a Leghorn? Maybe since its young its comb might still be growing and might be why its still straight. I used to have some leghorns a long time ago. Boy those girls sure cranked out the white eggs like they were a machine! Or maybe like you said, they could be a mix. Anyway, at least now they are paying their keep with eggs

Congratulations! are those from DM Rippy? I looked at those & really liked the idea of them. LOL on the pouting & dishwashing! "You play, you pay"!

I let Bertha out to free range today. She is the hen with brumble foot. Last night we did surgery to remove the scab and drain the infection. Went out side to give sunflower treats no Bertha . I looked all over could not find her. Hope she is ok. You can't miss her she has Brite pink vet wrap around her foot and ankle . I'm a little worried because she's not one to miss sunflower seeds. I have no idea, never had the breed or really looker into it, that was my original assumption seeing an all white bird but google showed huge combs on leg horns lol garage chickens have big ones but you're probably right and they may be young and still developing, that would be good, one of them has a screaming red comb I was hoping leg horn because hens get large combs but a roosters comb one can't miss I think lol so i'll give them a few weeks and see.
