I have twelve chickens and one rooster. I also have a baby peacock. I'm hoping to swap the rooster and peacock at the livestock swap in Pearl River or through the swap pages here on BYC, not because I want to, but because I don't want neighbors upset about the noise.

Hi everyone, checking in from Slidell, Louisiana.  Anyone in the area that is interested in talking chickens send me a message.

I'm in Slidell. I'm not looking for more what's the reason you want to get rid of them? What breeds do you have? What age are they? Pam

I have 34 chickens. and 2 batches of eggs in or about to be in. The eggs are 14 good big white rocks. They are supposed to grow big. And my prize is a doz SG Dorking eggs coming about the 25th. Horstman and Urch. I'm gonna be busy.
Today, folks, just about killed myself. I trimmed feathers on 6 of my 7 wk old males and 4 of my 3 wk old males and put them in a 3' x 12' growout pen. Some pecking going on but I spent an hour squirting with the hose any meanies. Not perfect but I'd gotten advice to put them together sooner than later. I have 2 more small males to trim and add tomorrow. Then we'll start on the girls. I'll have about 12 girls of both ages to add to my 4' x' 6' kennel coop. I'm thinking of seeing if anyone wants to barter labor for building my hoop coop for the big girls. They should all be laying by the 1st or close to it. I have to wait until the 1st to buy all the materials.

I just read your post to angelisi . I have too many Roos too. Looking to re home one now a Black copper maran cross with crested cream legbar. What breed is yours someone might be looking for that breed. Your other option is the new collar that keeps Roos from crowing. You can by it at my pet chicken. Pam
