"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Well my plans are fermed up, I will be going down to Texas State fair, then over to Shreveport for a wk in Louisiana. My family is expecting me to be in Phoenix on the 15th of November for ThanksGiving. I am so excited about finally making it to Louisiana. I will be dropping down to I-10 and take that across to Phoenix.

Sorry to chime in...just read the preceding post. I did not see it or I would have waited to introduce myself.....Again I am sorry....
Jennie dear.... LUCKY YOU!!!!!! I have read other forums... everyone here aren't a sensitive, judgemental, standoffish type of group... We care about far more than just our chickens, and enjoy any and all newbies.... here to learn, teach and be supportive however we can.
SO, supply us with yourself. Tell us about your problems, ask your questions (cause this is one of the smartest groups ive found - I am just a google freak) and definitely bring any new ideas or information to our attention. Helping us all do our best and be well informed enough to decide HOW we each choose to do it all is what we are here for.... plus for a ton of laughs as well!
We all learn something new everyday. Oh and we have all age ranges here as well!
SO WELCOME and MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME!

Jennifer (age 41)
Mom to 5, recently engaged to my high school love Doug and will be step mom to 3 more!

Hi Jeannie. From one noobie to another, welcome! I've read threads in many different kinds of forums and joined a few. This one is a delight - mostly made up of our neighbors that are very welcoming, funny and informative.

A little over a year ago we moved from a typical city lot to 8 acres SE of Lake Charles. A wonderful taste of the country life, but not quite as rural as yours. L. C. is expected to grow by leaps and bounds over the next few years. We're hoping our neighbors kkeep their yarda and fields the way they are so we can continue to enjoy this setting.

Again, welcome!
