"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Oh no!! What day are you on. They can be tough and pull through depending on how long and how far developed. I'm gonna load a few dozen in my bator this weekend just to try it out. Good luck

Day nine It was on yesterday. I do check everyday but to day unpluged how long I don't know. Just hopping for the best.

When I built my first incubator with single bulb I had it blow and know it was out few hours. I added a second bulb asap after that. It was on day 11. Temp had dropped to 93. But I still had a great hatch. So all hope isn't lost.

No , they are not, i have some BRs, Marans crosses i think, silver laaced Wyandot and some other cross's and RSLs

Must be a cross. My marens crossed with Legbars are supposed to lay olive eggs. My Bielefeldres lay a pinkish brown egg can't wait till they start laying. Pam

We are not handy at all, but I wanted to reuse some of the pipe from our melon trellis. I cemented it together and added chicken wire. There is a 2x4 under to keep it more stable. I made a cheap tractor. Only problem is that I didn't make a door and the pipes are cemented. I couldn't get the girls inside at all! Siggghhhhh

I had a nice surprise today, i noticed one of my DOMs on top of the devider fence in the chicken yard, i went and took her down and just for kicks, put her in the hen house where the nest box's, she had never seen the inside of the house, i got busy for about 10 min. when i returned, she was in a nest on a couple eggs laid earlier, i heard a tap in the nest box, i raised her up and there was a double yolker and it was wet, yey, my first DOM egg, now i have 22 layers, another milestome, 3rd age group to start laying, next will be the Amerscsunas and EEs
