"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Oo green! Green is kind of "my thing," which is why I have green hair haha. I need a green layer in a few years!
NO, you need one now, i know you just had a birthday but Christmas is just around the corner, a few innocent hints here and there and a nice letter to Santa left by the bed by accident, the possibilities are limitless, lol

Tomorrow we are taking our sickest red sex link to LSU. I'm really hoping it is parasites and not infectious coryza! At least that would be treatable! I'll let you all know what the report is.

We have a friend that just got a Brinsea. If I can convince my hubby to get a new one next year that is what I want. I think it would just take a real load of worry of my mind. Google them.

For days, in every spare minute I have been working on a not so pleasant job. My husband recently evicted someone that hasn't paid rent in a LONG time. My husband is too nice in my opinion, lol. The house had been sitting for awhile because he is busy. Then the other day he and our oldest, along with some friends went to "pick up". They were not prepared for the volume of STUFF! Bags and bags to the trash and bags and bags brought here. At least 10 of the big black bags. I've been sorting, throwing more away and washing the good clothes to sell. Seriously, they have more clothes than my kids. And NAME BRAND. And had no problem walking away like it was nothing, asking the neighbor if they wanted anything they were welcome to it. 50 pairs of jeans/Jean shorts and khaki pants is what is done so far.

I don't think I will ever understand.

Oh, and like a dozen cell phones....... Bizarre.

Milo and Otis!!! My husband used to watch that movie over and over when he was a kid!

Yes, I have a suggestion! Do you have a little dog kennel or anything? You could put the cat's dishes in there. When you feed them, close the door behind them and let them eat. Then open up the door and let them out when they are finished.
I that to, Spanky my black tom cat, he hung from the top of the crate crying like a carton character from tom and jerry, Smokey, just stood their crying non stop, Stitch, screamed like I shut the door on his tale, Cry Baby and her sister Tiger, looked at me and would not stop Meowing, and Cali, the mother hen of everyone just sat there refusing to eat starring at me......I felt bad and let them all out.... guess they thought they were going to the vet again!

Whew! Just finished catching up on four days of posts lol. This is how I discovered our egg:

I went back into the pin midday to clean out the poop catcher and change their water. I found the egg in the coop, covered in poop. I ran back into the house to show my daughter. She was so excited and wanted to hold it! I washed it off and let her hold it. She wanted to go to my neighbor's house immediately to show him, because he asks her every day if any of her chickens are making eggs yet. I told her to wait until I finished refilling the water and cleaning the coop poop. I came back inside and found her in the kitchen screaming and crying. She was holding a goopy mess of shell and yolk. She had wanted to hold the egg while I was outside, so she took it off of the counter and dropped it. She was devastated. I used it as an opportunity to talk about how fragile eggs are!

I'm glad I got a pic before the "incident." She wants to come out with me tomorrow when I feed them. Hahahahahahah

Aww! that sucks, but its a good lesson about fragil things. You may have one tomorrow. And after the first one in a week the rest will start laying too.
