That is some kind of nice egg and large and pretty color, she will probably fear laying a second egg,lol

WOW!!!! talk about a big egg, wonder if she will have a double yoker? I guess the ones who takes the longest to lay has the bigger and stronger egg. can you imagine what she will give you in spring? I miss her but I am glad she has a good home

Top dog your rooster and hen you have from me are not related. So that's good news.I have a new hen laying here's her egg I can't believe how big her egg is for a first egg its a slate blue color.

This is Martha's first egg kacklinghen. I will come your way tomorrow and drop off the tumeric for you if you will be home. Pam

WOW!!!!!! Yes, I will be home. I accidently wrote you on topdog post... I am new and make mistakes. Henryetta finally layed brown egg so I have brown and olive at the moment. So glad Martha has a good home and a owner who loves her like I did.

Not sure on her breed. Most likely an EE. Hatched her from eggs I bought from a farm.

Thats a pretty green for a Easter Egger they usually aren't that dark of color. Pam

I joined this fb page. There are plenty of people here in Louisiana that are serious Marans breeders and care about keeping the breeders that lay the darker eggs etc. You should join and look at some of the pictures. Pretty cool!
