"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Our eggs are SO much cleaner now that we use these nesting pads. The nest pads are plastic and are easy to clean.

I think it helps keep the hens feet clean also. It kind of works like a boot scraper, when they are scratching around on the nest pad before they lay their egg.
Thanks, those are good prices.

The home made ointment seems to be working. After the first treatment the pox shrunk to half in size. They never did become raised they stayed flat and dry. The one by his eye is completely healed. I added supplements to their water. I'm supporting their immune system so they can fight it without antibiotics. The few that were noticed had the beginning signs of the pox are cured. I have three that have it now. The rooster that first got it has the worst case but is on the mend. None have turne to wet. So I'm happy about that. Can't wait to here about everyone's hatch. Pam

Going tomorrow to help a friend process some meat birds up near Colfax. First time, not really sure what to expect. I'm not looking forward to leaving my chickens overnight. Maybe I'll find my way to Petrus. ;)

I will be going to Petrus tomorrow or Saturday to get the rest of this months supply of horse and chicken feed. Just get off McAurther on to Hiway 1 north and go about 3/4 mile and it will be on your right, you will see the grain elivaters before you get to it, when leaving, go north on hiway 1 and you will come to air base road, I 49 to colfax exit, nothing to it.

Bad photos. He is camera shy, hand shy. He is a young Malay and had a nice wide frame with thick strong legs. He seems to be recovering well from his trip.
