Within 5 degrees of one another is an awful lot isn't it? How did you know you weren't over or under 5 when incubating?

Cody, I've got to tell you that that thing is ridiculous for it's price. $91 I bought the small black Acurite digital for $10+ on Amazon. It works even though all the other ones are different. It also lines up with the little aquarium thermometer and probe that I put into a water wiggler and place on top of the eggs. They are identical and I keep them going. The small one bit the dust this time and I haven't replaced it. Just used the acurite. No need to pay $91 to check it.TD, I've read to do that but the thermos I bought today are for measuring body temp so they don't go to 32 degrees. LOL![]()
I'm desperate so I ordered one of these. Should be here by Tuesday. My pocket has a hole in it.
Thank you for the advice.I read on the forum where someone else bought this to calibrate their thermo.

NICE LOOKING CHICKS!
I like the Taylor one from Walmart. I think I'll replace my other thingy with this and my water wiggler.
I'm with you on this less than 5 degree thing. That can't be right. Maybe 1/2 a degree. (.5).Within 5 degrees of one another is an awful lot isn't it? How did you know you weren't over or under 5 when incubating?
Your right is expensive. I was desperate what can I say.Cody, I've got to tell you that that thing is ridiculous for it's price. $91 I bought the small black Acurite digital for $10+ on Amazon. Going to bed shortly and will go into lockdown on my Marraduna Basques tomorrow. Excited.![]()
Waiting, waiting.Your right is expensive. I was desperate what can I say.
Can't wait to hear about what will be coming out of your bator.![]()
Poor babies!!! They'll be okay. They don't start dying until below 95 for an extended period. Am I right on this? Experts? That's just something I read. Not experience. I hate people giving advice when they are newbies and assure people they know what they are talking about.Anyone else forget to turn their heat on last night?![]()
It was 55 degrees in the house this morning, and the bator was down to 97-98. These poor eggs don't stand a chance.![]()
They are looking good!Sean O, Sorry about your chicken, I just hatched 16 chicks, they are a week old and putting on feathers, they should lay olive eggs, of course i am in Jena, not exactly in the neighborhood, i want 5$ each for them and would meet you in Alex. if you want a few, i would need to sell 6 at that price to pay for the gas but i dont want to get rid of more than six.![]()
